The Dixie Chicks last headlined an American tour in 2006, in support of their album “Taking the Long Way”.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, November 20, at LiveNation.com, with a series of presales beginning 9 a.m. Tuesday.

DCX MMXVI World Tour will visit over 40 cities throughout the USA and Canada with dates lined up in NY City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, Washington DC, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston and more.

Public attitudes toward the trio appear to have changed somewhat since the 2003 controversy over a statement about then-president George W. Bush that led to a backlash among the group’s conservative fans.

The Dixie Chicks, originally from Dallas, have been a force in the music industry since their 1998 album Wide Open Spaces, which featured the title track, “There’s Your Trouble” and “You Were Mine”.

While on tour in support of their third album, “Home”, the trio’s career took a sharp turn.

The anticipated USA tour, which will follow the band’s spring, European tour, will kick off this summer on June 1, starting in Cincinnati. That album sold more CDs that year than all other country music groups combined. “It’s been 10 years since we toured the U.S”. The complete DCX MMXVI World Tour itinerary is posted below.
