Djokovic, Murray seeded 1st and 2nd at Wimbledon
The 29-year-old secured a record fifth title in the Aegon Championships at the weekend after finishing as runner-up in the two Grand Slam events of 2016 so far, the Australian Open and the French Open.

“It means everything to get to Wimbledon, it will be such a good experience”.
HSBC ambassador and former Scottish global tennis player Judy Murray said: “This programme is a very big part of the British tennis calendar and youngsters recognise the HSBC Road to Wimbledon as a tournament that offers a prize to play at Wimbledon”.
Murray has recently reunited with Lendl, after parting company with Amelie Mauresmo in May this year.
Lendl could also be what Murray needs trying to overturn a dismal 2-8 record in Grand Slam finals.
“I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have done that before”, Murray said.
Murray enjoyed sustained success including winning two Grand Slam titles as well as an Olympic gold medal under the Czech, and it’s hoped Murray’s second stint can produce similar results, if not better.
“I think he’s got a good shot at pulling it off and I’d be happy seeing it”, Laver said over lunch at La Costa, the golf and tennis resort near his home.
“These guys made a strong mark in the history of our sport and it’s good to see them all”.
“But one thing we all learn in tennis is to reset a day or a week later”.
But, despite falling short of a memorable outing at the famous SW19 courts this time around, Pershore Club’s Sime is adamant we haven’t seen the last of him after losing out to Louis Marsden 1-6 0-6 in the first round.
While Djokovic’s four straight major titles aren’t the ultimate slam, “owning the four at one time, it’s one hell of an effort”, Laver said. It’s a remarkable achievement for my team and I. Perhaps even more significant is the fact that Djokovic has won eight of the players’ 10 previous Grand Slam encounters and five of their seven Grand Slam final contests.
Golfer Rory McIlroy has announced he will not be travelling to Rio because of concerns regarding the Zika virus, but Djokovic has no intention of withdrawing.
Murray added: “I’m extremely interested in the development of technology, and have several investments in exciting British projects”.
Welwyn Garden City starlet Indianna Spink admits she is pinching herself in amazement as she prepares to follow in Andy Murray’s footsteps and star at Wimbledon. Kei Nishikori of Japan is No. 5, and Milos Raonic, who has hired John McEnroe as coach, is sixth.Play starts Monday. Konta is seeded 17th. “That will be a real curiosity for me if she can carry that momentum and confidence and do well, think about a year ago reaching the finals, or is she going to have a hard time re-setting, especially in dealing with expectations”, added Evert, who won the French and Wimbledon double in 1974.

The world number one’s conqueror at Roland Garros, Spain’s Garbine Muguruza, is seeded second with Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska, the 2012 Wimbledon runner-up, named as the third seed. The 25-year-old’s world ranking has shot up from 146th to 18th.
