Djokovic rolls over Murray in Paris Masters final
Novak Djokovic saved set points in both sets to remain on course for his third straight Paris Masters title after beating fifth-seeded Czech Tomas Berdych 7-6 (3), 7-6 (8) in a hard-fought quarterfinal on Friday.

Novak Djokovic beat Andy Murray 6-2, 6-4 to win the Paris Masters for the third straight year and a record fourth time overall, dominating the second-seeded Briton from the outset in a one-sided final.
Not just 10 titles, but three Grand Slams and a record six Masters.
27 – Djokovic has registered a record 27 (and counting) match wins against Top 10 ranked opponents in 2015.
“If you are going for the perfection, you might reach excellence”, said the Serb after taking just 93 minutes to dispatch Murray.
“It was a very intense game, he had set points and I held on”, Wawrinka said.
Most fans booking the last available corporate hospitality packages for the ATP World Tour Finals in London will probably be expecting Djokovic to end his year with that title as well, although British fans will have high hopes for Murray and Federer remains ever popular.
Djokovic’s shattering drives and buzz kill defense left Andy Murray looking a bit disorientated and the Paris logo behind the baseline looking a bit misleading.
Langer, 58, missed a chance to win on 18 in regulation when his 18-foot eagle putt lipped out.
It’s been a great week for me – first time past the quarterfinals.
“It was a really tough match, a real battle”, Djokovic said. “We managed to win, which is great for us”. Sometimes Murray won rallies with the sort of dream tennis you might create on a computer simulation, stringing together two or three shots that would have been winners against anyone else.
Murray has met Djokovic 11 times in the last two years, and has only emerged victorious once.
He won two of his four service games at love, while breaking serve in two of Murray’s four service games.
If he is to one day become world number one or to win the season-ending ATP World Tour finals in London which start next weekend, Murray must also improve against Swiss Federer. The 10-time Grand Slam victor has not lost since the Cincinnati final in August, where he was defeated by Roger Federer in the final round.
23 – Of those 30 sets in October and November, Djokovic won 23 by a margin of three games or more.
