He added: “My focus right now is defeating (Donald) Trump, electing Clinton, electing progressive candidates around this country and focusing on the issues that matter the most to working families”.

In one email, DNC Chief Financial officer Brad Marshall asked whether someone can confront an unnamed person about “his belief” in front of religious voters in the South, and in another email, a DNC communications official wondered whether it was a good idea to sell a narrative of Sanders’ campaign being a mess to reporters. “I plan on voting for him Wednesday and supporting the ticket on Thursday”.

About 100 Sanders supporters made their way into Philadelphia by marching across the Ben Franklin Bridge from Camden, New Jersey. “I’m trying to be there as a Democrat”.
The four-day convention is far removed from City Hall and the skyscrapers of Center City. But some Sanders supporters said they weren’t sure they would support Clinton in the fall. But there it was after WikiLeaks released 20,000 internal emails hacked from the Democratic National Committee revealing, among other things, that party officials had favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders.
The protests come as Sanders called for the head of the DNC to step down after leaked emails suggested the party played favourites during the presidential primary.

Sanders say “our credibility as a movement will be damaged by booing, turning of backs, walking out or other similar displays”.
In this Saturday, July 23, 2016 photo, DNC Chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz speaks during a campaign event for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during a rally at Florida International University Panther Arena in Miami.
A statement from incoming interim party leader, Donna Brazile, and six other officials said: “On behalf of everyone at the DNC, we want to offer a deep and honest apology to Senator Sanders, his supporters, and the entire Democratic Party for the inexcusable remarks made over email”.
“But most of us understand it was the work of a few stupid employees at the DNC”.
Mr Sanders has also sent emails and text messages urging his supporters not to demonstrate on the floor of the convention, categorising the request “as a personal courtesy to me”.
“We feel tremendously optimistic”.
A diplomat with experience working on Russian Federation said the Kremlin also might be betting that Clinton will win and is sending a shot across her bow.
That may not be enough, according to David Andersen, an assistant professor of political science at Iowa State University, Ames.

At-large delegate Darrell Cox, of Bowie, was interrupted during his speech when he declared Hillary Clinton the next president, and Sanders supporters shouted “Bernie!” She talked about how she shared her concerns with Clinton during a campaign stop in Las Vegas earlier this year, and Clinton called her courageous and told her she would worry on her behalf.
