Do San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick’s practice socks disrespect police?
But as it turns out, Kaepernick’s name is actually back in the news again on Thursday thanks to a pair of socks that he was spotted wearing during a San Francisco practice back on August 10.

Early in August the National Football League denied the request of the Dallas Cowboys to wear a helmet deal honoring the Dallas PD after law enforcement lost five officers in a single, deadly sneak attack in July.
Kaepernick initally came under fire last week, when he refused to stand for the national anthem before a preseason game between the 49ers and Green Bay Packers. Cops are getting paid leave for killing people.
Vietnam veteran C.C. Long says Kaepernick is free to sit, stand or kneel because of vets who fought for that freedom.
“When it comes to the National Anthem and the flag, I think it stands for something different”.
During the playing of the national anthem prior to a preseason football game, Kaepernick did not get up off the bench. “I have two uncles and friends who are police officers and serve ALL people”.
“I don’t want him anywhere near my team. We are so, so lucky to play a game that we love…and that’s because we have the freedom that soldiers have given us”.
Although the socks are only now making headlines, Kaepernick has worn them to practice for some time. “So that’s something that this country has to change”, Kaepernick said in an interview. He was asked how he would react if a Chargers player used a method of protest similar to the one Kaepernick is using. He has not been seen by the media wearing the socks since a San Francisco police officer’s union official complained about his lack of sensitivity on Monday.

Hunter, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2008, said he doesn’t believe a military boycott of the 49ers would be an effective counter to Kaepernick’s protest. “When I told my mom about this article, she cautioned me that ‘the last thing our country needed right now was more hate.’ As usual, she’s right”.
