Doctor Strange Featurette From Phase 2 Box Set
However, a new featurette on the Marvel Phase Two Blu-ray boxset has shed a bit more light on the approach being taken to Doctor Strange.

Chances are that the first Doctor Strange trailer won’t be released until well into 2016, so this tease is very welcome indeed, don’t you think? Kevin Feige will produce the film with Stephen Broussard serving as executive producers. Seemingly never content to make one kind of superhero movie, the studios work spans from recognizable, earth based settings of the Avengers films to Thor’s Asgard to the outer reaches of space in Guardians of the Galaxy. Feige states that having Cumberbatch to play the central character is “huge for us”.

Thanks to a brand new piece of concept art that’s been released to the world, there’s some indication that Cumberbatch will perform at least some of his hotly anticipated performance wearing the Doc’s iconic red cape. One of the pictures features the doctor wearing a massive red cape in front of a mind-blowing background. In the late 70s’, writer and director Philip DeGuere already had an attempt at bringing the Doctor Strange comic stories to TV screens, but with mixed success.
