‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special gets new poster and title

Oh…and there seems to be some kind of red robot causing trouble in this newly released poster for the Christmas special.

It remains to be seen why she does not know who the Doctor is but lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat teased, “The last time the Doctor saw her, she was a ghost”.

Earlier today, we showed you a freakish video from Peter Jackson which teased that he may be directing an upcoming episode of Doctor Who in Season 10. The Doctor comes to help a crashed spaceship and finds himself recruited into River Song’s squad as they begin an exciting chase.

The synopsis of the episode revealed that she will be fighting with the Doctor against Greg Davies’ King Hydroflax and his giant Robot bodyguard which is out of control.

The showrunner also added that “Doctor Who” fans and followers are intrigued of the Doctor and River Song’s beautiful love story. Also, it raises questions like whether or not Will Nardole, played by Matt Lucas, will survive. Comedians Greg Davies (Man Down, The Inbetweeners) and Matt Lucas (Little Britain) will also make guest appearances.

However, all will be revealed on a starliner full of galactic super-villains and a destination the Doctor has been avoiding for a very long time. So, I’ll be honest, I brought River Song back in because I thought there’s a possibility I’d never write it [Doctor Who] again so that’ll be my goodbye.

The episode will be titled “The Husbands of River Song” and feature the anticipated return of The Doctor’s wife, River Song (Alex Kingston). The Doctor, as it says in the title, this time is ‘Hell Bent’. It’s unclear whether she and the Twelfth Doctor have met before in the timeline, but rumor has it that this is their first-ever meeting. The annual Christmas special! When you’re in love with a regenerating Time Lord, marriage gets…complicated. We imagine there might be a bit of celebratory Bucks Fizz in the Mackinnon househould, then, providing that his episodes don’t prove to be turkies (arf).
