It’s finally here – the first trailer for LEGO Dimensions to feature Doctor Who! Unveiled at SDCC (Comic-Con) – also starting this morning – this addition to the LEGO Dimensions world is not the first brand to arrive before physical LEGO bricks have been made by the company.

The Doctor has met a lot of interesting characters in his travels through time and space, and he’s meeting a few more in forthcoming game Lego Dimensions.

It showed as he and the rest of the “Doctor Who” cast and crew on hand couldn’t take their eyes off the gameplay footage.

Doctor Who’s very own Peter Capaldi will be the voice of the Doctor during the video game but check this – for supreme autheticity – whenever the Doctor dies in the game, he will regenerate.

The TARDIS interior will also change to match which Doctor you are playing as.

Doctor Who headwriter Steven Moffat cut in, “You’re getting competitive with some LEGOS!”

Attention to detail has clearly been key in creating the Doctor Who Level Pack for LEGO Dimensions.

Fire up the Tardis and practice your soufflés, Warner Bros. It even includes the not-Doctor “War Doctor”, who was played by John Hurt in the 50 Anniversary special. A Fun Pack (Dimensions’ equivalent of individual characters you can buy) will also be available that comes with a playable Cyberman minifigure and a Dalek, which functions as an in-game object.

The TARDIS and K-9 models will be able to be rebuilt into two alternative designs for inclusion in the game.
