Doctor Who pal Jenna could be ready to reign
Along with giving her a romance with the sadly doomed Danny Pink (Samuel Anderson), it was here that the show put Coleman front and centre, with her cheekily exclaiming at one point, “I’m the Doctor, but you can call me Clara”.

He said: “I was so lucky it was Jenna because it might not have worked with anyone else”.
Earlier this week, Coleman sparked rumours about the move when during an interview with the Radio Times she said that she did now know how long she would last in the series.
Whovians have an nearly impossible-to-satisfy appetite for anything “Doctor Who” and for those who can no longer wait until the season nine premiere, BBC just released a prologue video for the upcoming “Doctor Who” season.
Reportedly, Coleman will portray Queen Victoria in the eight-part series as an 18-year-old through the early part of her reign.
Following a full series with Matt Smith and key involvement in 2013’s 50th anniversary special, Coleman lent stability to Doctor Who when Peter Capaldi took over as The Doctor in summer 2014.
Doctor Who returns with a two-parter, “The Magician’s Apprentice” and “The Witch’s Familiar“, September 19th, 2015 at 9/8c on BBC America.
Jenna, 29, has been a massive hit with fans as Clara Oswald since 2012. She returned on Christmas Day of that year, playing Clara and remained with the Eleventh Doctor from the following episode, The Bells of Saint John, onwards. “You have to remember that, as much as you want to apply your mature acting instincts, there are actually lots of children watching”. She has saved him more times than we can count and she was the exclusive companion in The Day of the Doctor 50th anniversary special.
“You never feel you’ve arrived”, she says, “which is a good thing”.
“It’s wonderful”, Coleman said regarding her decision previous year . “And with Last Christmas, I’d already written the alternative version where she stayed, and I preferred that version”.

Neither ITV nor BBC One have made an official announcement regarding Coleman’s departure.
