Doctors: Pneumonia is serious but Clinton should bounce back
Later on Sunday, the Clinton campaign issued a statement attributed to Clinton’s doctor, Dr. Lisa R. Bardack, saying the 68-year-old former first lady, US senator and secretary of state had been diagnosed Friday with pneumonia and was taking antibiotics.

Presidential candidate Clinton suffered from a number of coughing fits in interviews and events as she hit the campaign trail in her bid for the presidency.
Instead, calls for Clinton to be increasingly open about her health situation have come from reporters for The New York Times and The Washington Post, hardly publications that could be called in the Republican camp.
The New York senator said in a statement Sunday that he and the Democratic presidential nominee “chatted for quite a while” about their memories of the tragic attacks, when both were senators from New York. “If she wants to do it, I’ll do it 100 percent”, he said.
Clinton was seen hours later leaving her daughter’s apartment, smiling and waving.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been diagnosed with pneumonia.
The candidate stepped out of Chelsea Clinton’s apartment building around noon, and smiled and waved to reporters and supporters gathered outside. It prompted one of the reporters who witnessed the incident to publish a response knocking down the claim.
Video of Clinton’s hurried departure from the Ground Zero memorial showed her buckling and stumbling as she got into her van.
Trump, 70, has said Clinton is “not strong enough to be president” and that she “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS”.
Clinton’s doctor reported she is fully recovered from the concussion, which led to temporary double vision and discovery of a blood clot in a vein in the space between her brain and skull. “I was sweating through my shirt”, Crowley said.
The video, circulated on Twitter, appeared to show Clinton, 68, flanked by Secret Service agents, leaning against a security bollard while agents prepare to help her into a black van.
Yet the slow response of the campaign on Sunday – Clinton left behind her traveling press corps, which was not given an explanation until about 90 minutes after her disappearance from the event – contributed to speculation throughout the day about whether she had suffered a dizzy spell or something worse.
She was taken to her daughter’s Manhattan apartment to recuperate, her staff said.
“It was pretty hot out there, but she seemed fine to me, and left on her own accord”, Sen. The hashtag #HillarysHealth trended on Twitter, with many accusing the Clinton camp of covering up far more serious illnesses.
Clinton has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a common condition in women older than 60, in which the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough of certain important hormones.
Attending the event to commemorate the almost 3,000 lives lost in the September 11, 2001, attacks was so important to both presidential candidates that they both appeared at the New York City ceremony at the same time – a very, very rare move.

Democratic Representative Joe Crowley of NY, a Clinton supporter who attended the event, told Reuters that it was “incredibly, stiflingly hot” during the ceremony.
