How about that? Vin Scully, who has been calling Dodgers games since the Truman administration, will miss the team’s playoff run as he recovers from a medical procedure.

The Dodgers wouldn’t say what the procedure was – but insist the 87-year-old Hall of Famer is resting comfortably.
“On the advice of his doctors, Scully will miss the Dodgers’ postseason games to rest up but is looking forward to returning in 2016”, the team said in a statement.
For the last week of the regular season, treasured Los Angeles Dodgers voice Vin Scully was off the air due to a cold. He was scheduled to call the team’s postseason games on radio. He also said that 2016 would be his last season in the broadcast booth.
