Grounds crew workers move a tarp on the field during a rain delay at AT&T Park before a baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers in San Francisco, Saturday, April 9, 2016.

Hill (1-1) struck out 10 batters while allowing just one run off five hits over six innings to give the A’s (3-2) back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Manager Dave Roberts removed Stripling after 100 pitches and replaced him with Hatcher.

On Saturday, Bumgarner homered off Kershaw for the second straight season, but the Dodgers (4-2) scored once in the ninth to tie it and won 3-2 in 10. The Dodgers’ run came against Bumgarner in the third when Scott Van Slyke was brushed on the left elbow with a pitch with the bases loading, forcing in Enrique Hernandez, who opened the inning with a single. Rain comes down as San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford patrols the infield during the second inning of a baseball game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, April 8, 2016, in San Francisco.

Baltimore hit four solo home runs off Chris Archer and defeated Tampa Bay 6-1 for its first 4-0 start since 2011.

Held to two hits by Giants right-hander Matt Cain through four innings, the Dodgers got a leadoff double into the right field corner by Joc Pederson to trigger the two-run fifth.

Clayton Kershaw was efficient, allowing only four hits and needing just 91 pitches in his eight innings, walking one and striking out five. When you have a father and a mother who know their kid’s story and what he’s endured to get here, they enjoyed that moment more than anyone. He was battling the flu and wasn’t as sharp as he normally is, although he also battled nagging injuries during spring training so it hasn’t been a smooth start to 2016 for Bumgarner.

Ben Zobrist had three hits and an RBI and Kyle Hendricks gave up two runs while pitching into the seventh inning in the Chicago Cubs’ 4-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Only three players have multiple home runs off Kershaw since the start of the 2014 season (playoffs included), with Daniel Murphy and Troy Tulowitzki joining Bumgarner on that list. He said he would head home whenever she went into labor. Warning, don’t read Kershaw’s lips unless you want your mouth washed out with soap. Hatcher came off the mound in apparent anger over a pitch that wasn’t called a strike. The Giants ace allowed one run and six hits in six innings with one walk.

Gonzalez grounded what would have been a game-ending double play, but the ball was bobbled by second baseman Kelby Tomlinson, who only had one play, to retire Gonzalez at first base. That Friday game took on quite a bit more drama thanks to the Dodgers’ rookie starter handling his first major league start about as well as you could ever expect a rookie to handle his first outing.

Ehire Adrianza also connected off Kershaw in the fifth.

The Dodgers began the season with 31 straight scoreless innings by the pitchers. It was the first extra-base hit for Park, who led the Korean Baseball Organization with 53 homers last season before signing a three-year, $24 million contract with the Twins. He will have an MRI back in Los Angeles. INF Micah Johnson was promoted from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take Crawford’s spot on the roster. Cueto will face Scott Kazmir, one of the Dodgers’ offseason acquisitions.
