The shelter said the family who gave Boozer up was “beyond grateful and relieved” to learn the dog had been reunited with his original owners. It did not take long for the dog and family to fall back in love with one another again and the family looks forward to spending a lot of quality time together.
Lloyd, his daughter Megan and son Will, drove 18 hours from Alabama to pick up Boozer this morning for an emotional reunion. “Especially when they sent the first picture of him”, Goldston said.
Even though Boozer is now 10, the reunion was like old times.
On Saturday, after nine years away from home, Boozer the boxer was reunited with his family at the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado, reports 9News.
That’s when the surprised staff saw that Boozer had originally belonged to someone else. Boozer appeared very happy to be back with his family. Megan Marr was only 15 years old when the dog ran off, and she said to CBS that, “It was shattering”.
