A Florida family’s rescue dog did some saving of his own this week.

Donya DeLuca says Haus and Molly are inseparable, so she is not surprised he would risk his life to save her.
“Just based on temperament, he was standing up for my daughter, he was standing between, he didn’t budge”, she told the station. Her dog Haus came to her rescue.
The dog, named Haus, was playing with the girl in their backyard in Tampa when the Eastern diamondback rattlesnake slithered near them.
“Next thing we know is, there’s blood and he was limping and crying”, Donya added. DeLuca said she could see in his chest he was having trouble breathing.
The family later later discovered that each time Haus snapped back, he was being bitten by the snake.
Still, relatives said Haus showed signs of recovery. Undaunted, Haus jumped between Molly and the snake, and was bitten three times while protecting the little girl. Doctors have made a decision to give him a continuous drip of the anti-venom, rather than give him doses, DeLuca said.
“We love him and we cherish him, but I feel indebted that he saved our daughter”, DeLuca told WFLA.
