Dog who had legs cut off takes first steps on prosthetics

Around nine months old at the time, the dog was attacked after chewing on a pair of shoes belonging to a neighbour, the foundation said in a separate Facebook post.

Now he is able to walk again thanks to his new legs.

A puppy that had its two front legs hacked off earlier in May has been fitted with new prosthetic legs, the Phuket-based charity Soi Dog Foundation announced on Sunday.

Despite the owner paying for damages, the neighbor entered the owner’s property, attacked the dog and threatened to kill the owner and her other dogs if she complained.

The dog’s owner reported the crime to local authorities, and the offender was only sentenced to one month’s imprisonment.

The clinic team then fit Cola with his very own custom-made prosthetic legs after his recovery.

Following this horrific incident, Cola was taken in by the Soi Dog Foundation, who helped him recover from his injuries.

Although SDF has received a flood of offers to adopt Cola, the furry fighter has found a new family with the Dalleys.

Cola and Ms Dalley are both double amputees.

Cola was on wheels immediately following his accident but is much happier to have legs of his own
