He described the meeting as fruitful as all contending groups in the House of Representatives came together for the first time in a cordial atmosphere.
“Section 14, ( 3) tells us how these bodies of government must be composed and in order to ensure inclusive, unity and fairness in the country”, Dogara had stated in the letter. The House wants to move ahead and the party wants to move ahead.
“Whoever or whatever outside forces that might have been stoking the fire, I think we would put that to an end this evening at the meeting”.
He said that in arriving at the position, members considered a letter written by the Speaker to Chief John Oyegun, APC Chairman, on July 16, in which he premised his formula on the need to comply with Federal Character in sharing the positions. You can see that I am smiling.
He dismissed the insinuation that the meeting with the President was coming too late, saying the party would come out with good news for the nation by Tuesday. “I will always be by the party”.
