Actress Shannen Doherty has settled a lawsuit against her former business managers.

Court records in Los Angeles show a settlement notice was filed on Friday stating the settlement is contingent on unspecified conditions that need to be completed within 45 days.

Doherty filed the lawsuit against the firm Tanner, Mainstain, Glynn & Johnson, claiming they “mismanaged her insurance premiums and let her policy lapse at a critical time when doctors could’ve done an early detection of her breast cancer”. The cancer was apparently diagnosed during a time when she didn’t have health insurance as a result of the firm’s mismanagement. “However, Defendants ignored it, failed to pay it (without informing Plaintiff) and then promptly terminated their relationship with [Doherty] effective February 7, 2014”, the papers via US Weekly stated.

According to the lawsuit, the actress, who is married to photographer Kurt Iswarienko, was first diagnosed in March of past year.

When Doherty re-enrolled for her lapsed coverage in 2015, that’s when she learned that she had the invasive breast cancer that’s since spread to her lymph nodes and led to a single mastectomy back in May.

Doherty has been unable to work since the diagnosis and has incurred “significant” medical expenses, according to the suit.

Doherty claimed she couldn’t re-enroll until past year, and that her cancer would have been detected earlier had she’d been insured.
