Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry was named AFC special teams player of the week Wednesday. Washington’s pass defense is average at best and Miami has enough talented pass catchers that they’re having trouble finding plays for all of them.

The group will have to pay particular attention to Landry, who extended his team record with a 10th straight game of at least five receptions by making eight catches for 53 yards against Washington.

Last season, Cameron Wake finished the year with 11.5 sacks (his third double digit sack season), three fumbles forced, and three passed defensed.

It’s amazing the Miami Dolphins won last week at Washington, given the initial return on a $210 million offseason investment in their two biggest stars.

“There were plenty of plays that we left on the field, whether it’s the third-and-one short run or a missed throw”, he said.

“I want them to understand that “look guys, I’m buying in, we all have to buy in” and just for us to continue to echo what coaches are trying to get done and understand it’s not anything personal”. “That’s my mindset, and that’s how I’m approaching every game”.

He has to improve on last week’s performance which wasn’t as good as the statistics indicate.

That’s no change, but Landry’s surrounding cast of pass-catching targets is mostly new. All entries have a chance to win a football autographed by Landry. Everybody needs to play their gap, play their role and make adjustments faster. Between the hairstyles and the clothes, it’s only a matter of time until Landry expands off the field into endorsements deals that match Wade’s.

His 69-yard punt return touchdown in the fourth quarter gave the Dolphins a 17-10 lead, which ended up being the final score.

“When he has his hands on the ball, he’s dangerous”, Philbin said.

“I don’t know what he meant by that”, Suh responded, “but I wouldn’t say so….”

Miller had 55 yards to start the season against the Redskins, while Landry had a punt return TD and Cameron had four catches for 74 yards.

“So I think the more awareness we can raise right now, as guys come into the league, it will help us out on the back end”. They’ve also added rookie running back T.J. Yeldon who they are very excited about. “As many times as I get the ball in my hands is a plus, and wherever I’m needed, I’m willing to do the job”.
