Benjamin was injured during the first of two days of workouts with the Panthers and the visiting Miami Dolphins.
This practice has been brutal for both teams.
Rivera and Miami head coach Joe Philbin will work out any remaining details when the Dolphins arrive in Spartanburg on Tuesday afternoon.
Philbin indicated Sunday that there would be no live tackling during the practices. He’s the one wide receiver the team can’t afford to lose. “We’ve got an opportunity to get some really good work”.
“In the heat of the moment, you never know what your reaction’s going to be”.
And that’s why Dolphins players were looking forward to it. “You don’t want to just tee off on their guys just because it’s a different person in the red jersey”, Alexander said.

Saturday, of course, is when the Dolphins and Panthers will face each other at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the second preseason game for each team.
