According to the report, the new breed of dolphins can move on land in hunt of food in case they do not get enough in deep water.

The research was carried out by the Australia’s Southern Cross University, in which they had taken a close look on the behavior of dolphins at Fitzroy River, Queensland.

They found that the dolphins in case can also venture on the land in hunt of food.

A spokesman from research team said that “The humpback dolphins were observed swimming a few meters away from and parallel to the shoreline. This behavior probably allows dolphins to concentrate fish against the mud bank before charging at them at high speed”.
