Dominic Breazeale: I am here to knock Anthony Joshua out…period
If I were Hearn, I wouldn’t be bragging about Joshua’s hand speed, because I wouldn’t want to plan insane ideas into his head because he could get knocked out one of these days if he tries to throw what he feels are fast combinations against someone who actually is fast. I thought, ‘Is this guy being serious?’. He’s the fourth undefeated fighter I’m fighting.

Anthony Joshua hopes to wow an American TV audience when he faces Dominic Breazeale in the first of a new multi-fight deal with US broadcaster Showtime. “I get to build in America, where I have a lot of friends”.
The question is whether the pavement flare-up will prove more competitive than the fight, with Joshua having made it through his first 16 opponents with precious little trouble.
The Matchroom Sports top brass said that he is in talks with Chinese officials about staging a fight involving the Watford, Hertfordshire native. The addition of this heavyweight title fight, airing live on Showtime Networks in the late afternoon, bolsters a big day for boxing as later that evening on CBS, SHOWTIME will present the first live primetime boxing event on the CBS Television Network in almost 40 years.
Less than one month after winning his first world title, Joshua (16-0, 6 KOs) signed a multifight deal Wednesday with Showtime.
“Yes, he is the heavyweight champ, but at the same time I feel that I need to be the heavyweight champ and that’s the reason why I took the fight”.
Zhang, 33, had already met Joshua in the ring, during the 2012 London Olympics’ Super Heavyweight boxing competitions when the Briton won by a score of 15-11. In fact, Peter stated that his nephew would instead be looking toward a possible all-British mega-fight with Anthony Joshua.
“Charles Martin was an undefeated 6-foot-5 southpaw that Anthony Joshua had to figure out, and he did it very, very well and very explosively”, Hearn said. He had just won the belt, was excited about that, and he took the wrong fight. “We know there will be no network politics”.

Meanwhile, Stephen Espinoza, Showtime Sports’ executive vice president and general manager, said earlier this week he remains in negotiations to secure rights to air Wilder-Povetkin.
