Don’t twist that Oreo: Cookie gets skinny, ‘sophisticated’
To promote its latest snack, the company is offering a “Thinvitation” on its social channels where users can obtain a one-time-only code for a chance to get a free taste of the new cookies.

Oreo has just introduced a thinner, more delicate take on their classic cookie.
A more “sophisticated” snack for Oreo fans.
Mondelez worldwide Inc. says it will add “Oreo Thins” to its permanent lineup in the USA starting next week.
The Daily Meal had the opportunity to try Oreo Thins and the verdict was a definitive four out of five glasses of milk. They will cost the same as regular Oreos.
But with the unveiling of the latest Oreo creation, it’s clear: They’re getting the hang of this cookie evolution thing.
“If people want to [twist them apart or dunk them], it’s clearly up to them”, Janda Lukin, senior director of Oreo for North America at Mondelez, told the AP. But come on: Thin! The thinner layer of creme gives the cookie a less sweet taste, and the whole package has a crisper snap – while producing markedly fewer crumbs. Don’t fall for this slick marketing and zealous photoshopping; there’s nothing wrong with your existing, gorgeous cookie (unless that cookie is a horrifying homemade “paleo Oreo”).
According to an Oreo spokesperson, the new cookie will be 7.5mm thick, compared to the original cookie, which boasts a 12.5mm thickness.
You can guess which one the rats preferred.
We regret the error.

Oreo Thins follow the brand’s limited edition flavors S’mores, Cotton Candy, and Red Velvet-flavored Oreos.
