‘Don’t You Die!’: Listen To Cop Saving A Life

In speaking with the family, medical personnel and witnesses at the scene, it is apparent the quick actions of Trooper Devers helped save the driver’s life.

The dash camera in his vehicle records what happens when Devers finds the driver slumped over the wheel and not breathing.

A State Trooper was honoured with an award last week for saving a truck driver’s life after coming to his assistance 12 minutes before an ambulance.

Then the driver stops breathing.

Devers had arrived at the scene of a road accident and had found the driver of a semi-truck “belted in the driver’s seat, taking low, gasping breaths” with his eyelids half-closed. The trooper instructs him to keep the man upright, while he continued compressions.

“Don’t you die on me”, he later shouts. “Let’s go, c’mon”, you hear Trooper Devers saying.

The driver began breathing on his own after paramedics arrived and made a full recovery after being taken to hospital.

“It’s kind of surreal, growing up with all of the superheroes, you know, Spider-Man, Batman”. Devers recevied a Certificate of Recognition for his life-saving actions.

“The amount of outpouring of support for all of law enforcement, not just myself, has been awesome”, Devers said.
