Donald Trump 9/11 Controversy: Trump Doubles Down on New Jersey Muslims’ 9/11

“I’m very unconformable [with the press conference]”, Vaughn said she told Scott.

A furious row touched off by a black American pastor who described fellow-pastors who met with presidential hopeful Donald Trump as “prostitutes” reveals both the toxic national debate about race and Trump’s own capacity to divide opinion.

“We did have some celebrating”, Giuliani said during an appearance on CNN’s New Day on Tuesday.

“And those weren’t just rumors, those weren’t just reports, you went out and checked them out?” Is it wrong? Yes.

It doesn’t support Trump’s claim – it disproves it. The video features a woman, Emily Acevedo, who claims that on 9/11 she saw “12 or 13” kids banging on trash cans and shouting. Those contemporaneous reports have now been found. “And I saw it and a lot of people saw it, and I’m getting hundreds of phone calls and a lot of other people are too, and things are all of a sudden materializing”. Trump brought issues to the forefront that had been glossed over for years.

GIULIANI: And there were – and I can tell you reported to me – I didn’t see them.

Halperin noted: “Not proof but contemporaneous citation”.

‘I didn’t see any evidence of thousands, nor have I seen it since then, of thousands of people, ‘ he added. His remarks were widely discredited, but he has not backed down, citing old news clips as evidence that Muslims were celebrating en mass in Jersey City on September 11, 2001. It was twofold: America was under attack and the backlash was already beginning against Muslims in the wake of reports about the hijackers’ religions.

This story was never retracted.

“It would be an utter, complete and total disaster”, said South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, according to the New York Times. “We had pockets of celebration”.

Siegel told Daily Intelligencer that he first heard about the celebrations (and the nationalities of the perpetrators) on the radio, though he couldn’t remember which station.

With all of the great and awful things that Trump proclaims, whether true or not, why did we all of the sudden vilify him for saying that he saw Muslims cheering in New Jersey on 9/11? “And they were saying, ‘Burn America'”.

“”They weren’t doing anything different.””.

He even said that the meeting with Trump was historic because of all the meaningful dialogue.
