Donald Trump ‘A Disgrace,’ Tweets Billionaire Saudi Prince; Twitter War Ensues

Bin Talal and his investment company have doubled their ownership of Twitter’s publicly traded shares in the past six weeks.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, the richest man in his country, has apparently asked Donald Trump to withdraw from the USA presidential race following Trump’s comments about barring Muslims from entering the U.S.

Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s tweet comes after Trump’s recent proposal to keep Muslims out of the U.S. He chairs Kingdom Holding Co, and in July he said he will donate US$32 billion to charity in coming years via Alwaleed Philanthropies.

Within hours, the Republican presidential candidate hit back at Prince Al waleed, calling him a “dopey prince”.

The diversified firm’s interests include US-banking giant Citigroup. “Can’t do it when I get elected”, he tweeted.

Trump’s comments followed a shooting rampage by a Muslim couple in San Bernardino, California, which left 14 dead.

Trump’s comments also earned the ire of another prominent businessman this week.

Some reports suggest his deal with Gulf-based Damac Properties to license his name and image is at risk.

Bin Talal is just the latest to criticize Trump, who earlier this week said the US should stop admitting Muslims into the country because they pose a threat.
