Protesters say the police are too ready to use lethal force against African Americans.
The speech revived Mr. Trump’s vow to be the “law and order candidate”, which he first declared in a similar speech last month in response to the sniper ambush that killed five Dallas police officers at a Black Lives Matter demonstration over police-involved shootings of black citizens.
Clinton said Monday during a stop in Scranton, Pennsylvania, that the Milwaukee protests showed the nation had “urgent work to do to rebuild trust between police and communities” and said “everyone should have respect for the law and be respected by the law”.
If elected, Clinton said her administration would have a National Security and Foreign Policy that America can be proud of.
Clinton encouraged supporters to join get-out-the-vote efforts and hit a goal of registering 3 million new voters.
Trump has previously called for an unprecedented temporary ban on Muslims entering the US, and said in his OH speech that he would overhaul the nation’s screening process and block those who sympathize with extremist groups or fail to embrace American values.
Mr. Trump said that his championing of police and inner-cities dovetailed with his agenda to make better trade deals, secure the border and fight terrorism.
But although his speech was at times directly targeted at black voters, he did not propose new specific policies.
Earlier, Trump held three events in Milwaukee, a city still reeling from violent protests after the death of Sylville Smith, 23. The unidentified officer shot Smith after he failed to comply with orders to put his gun down.
Trump spent Tuesday conducting a round of TV interviews in Wisconsin, before taping an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News to be aired Wednesday. Is he supposed to talk him out of it?
“Who can have a problem with that?” That’s what the narrative is. Maybe it’s not true. “If it is true, people shouldn’t be rioting”.
Clinton’s candidacy was buoyed in the Democratic primary in part by winning the support of a majority of African-American voters, and campaign on issues of racial equality, social justice and addressing systematic racism.
Clinton’s campaign has called for full disclosure of any ties between pro-Russia entities and Manafort or anyone else from Trump’s team.
‘Just like Hillary is against the miners, she is against the police – believe me.

Initially, when it was reported that Bernie Sanders was more popular among young voters he conceded the election to Clinton into the Democratic National Convention; more reports of clashes between Clinton’s voters and Sanders’ reasonably made it appear that the transition would be smooth in favor of the Democratic nominee, but since the event, the results show the support is a natural occurrence.
