Donald Trump Accuses Obama of Being ‘Founder of ISIL’

Donald Trump sparked fresh criticism of his leadership ability on Thursday after he claimed Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton founded Islamic State.

He appeared to be mimicking the argument that the U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq under Obama, with Clinton serving as secretary of state, created a vacuum that allowed the Islamic State group to emerge and flourish in Iraq and Syria.

In a Thursday interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Trump fiercely defended his claim.

Speaking about the so-called Islamic State, he said: “In many respects, you know they honour President Obama”.

“I don’t care”, Trump said, according to a show transcript. “I do”, Mr. Trump said.

He said, “I like to reduce debt too, as much as anybody”. “It was Hillary Clinton that – she should get an award from them as the founder of ISIS“.

On Wednesday, Trump accused Obama and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton of founding Daesh in the Middle East region.

Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on “New Day” on Friday that his boss would have to speak for himself on the issue of Obama and ISIS, but decried the media for over-analyzing Trump’s words.

“No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS”.

When asked in an interview with CNBC Thursday whether it was appropriate for him to call the sitting president of the United States the founder of a terrorist organization that wants to kill Americans, Trump doubled down on his accusation. “Everyone’s liking it. I think they’re liking it”.

“But he’s not sympathetic to them”.

HH: Well, that, you know, I have a saying, Donald Trump, the pneumonic device I use is Every Liberal Really Seems So, So Sad.

But the GOP nominee remained steadfast, saying it was “no mistake” what he said, standing by his labeling of the Democratic opponent as a “co-founder”. However, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called Trump’s comments “bizarre” at a news conference on Capitol Hill.

“I don’t. I think I would say they created, they lost the peace”, he said.

“Donald Trump has a way of talking to get people’s attention, and it’s drawn attention to a very important issue”, Pence said. Over the past two years Obama has organized a broad coalition of countries and launched more than 10,000 us airstrikes to defeat Daesh.

Trump then went on a rant about the media being the lowest form of humanity.
