Presidential front-runners Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will return to CT this weekend to promote their respective Republican and Democratic campaigns ahead of the state’s April 26 primaries.
The Trump campaign has said it is concerned that some openly anti-Trump party members were chosen as delegates to represent IN at the Republican convention even before the voting on May 3.
Internal documents show that the Trump Campaign advisers are projecting the 69-year-old tycoon-turned-politician to have 1,400 delegates when he goes to the Cleveland Convention, the Washington Post reported.
He also pointed out that he plans to fight all the way to the Democratic Convention. Next Tuesday’s contests offer 172 delegates for Republicans.
In the graph below, we see Kasich and now Cruz are unable to win enough delegates in the upcoming states to reach a delegate majority-that magic figure of 1,237.
“Trade, immigration and security policies are critical concerns of all Americans, and we must develop a clear, consistent long-term foreign policy for making America safe and prosperous”, he said in a statement.
We found two polls taken in June 2008 that asked primary supporters of Clinton who they would support with Obama as the Democratic nominee. “It’s reflected in every poll”.
The Club for Growth Action ad aims at persuading those who don’t want Trump as the nominee to vote for Cruz instead of Kasich.
In response to comments from Cruz earlier in the day that Kasich “has no path whatsoever to the nomination”, the OH governor said, “If he’s so sure of that, why is he attacking me all of the time?”
Kasich won four delegates.
“It’s a rigged, crooked system that’s designed so that the bosses can pick whoever they want and that people like me can’t run and can’t defend you against foreign nonsense”, Trump said. “It is up to you to win those delegate votes, vote for vote”.
NBC said more of the interview would air Friday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports”.
This was Trump’s first public rally after his impressive victory in NY primary. “But that doesn’t mean she’s good”, he said.

There are five more state nominating contests for both parties Tuesday, in the five northeastern states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware.
