Nunberg has been outspoken since leaving the campaign a year ago, at one point telling the Daily Beast that Trump’s candidacy was “doomed”.
Donald Trump has filed a $10 million lawsuit against a former campaign staffer for allegedly breaching a confidentiality agreement. Nunberg denies that he was the source, but in the court filings his attorneys threw fuel on the fire by referring “to the quarrel as being part of an ‘apparent affair'”.
Nunberg’s attorney, Andrew Miltenberg of Nessenoff Miltenberg Goddard Laskowitz, did not immediately return a request for comment, nor did Trump Organization general counsel Alan Garten.
Lewandowski advocated the suit as a way to make sure his relationship with Hicks ― which Nunberg’s filing calls a “sordid and apparently illicit affair” ― didn’t become public, the adviser said.
Mr Miltenberg said Mr Trump’s lawyer argued for the documents to be sealed in a hearing on Wednesday morning.
He is seeking $10 million in damages from Nunberg, who was dismissed by the campaign last summer over racist Facebook posts, on Trump’s behalf. Now it seems that there was more at stake than just tension over the campaign. Recently, the Associated Press reported that Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was prohibited by a confidentiality agreement from revealing private or negative information about Trump in his role as a news analyst on CNN, leading to questions about what value he could provide viewers beyond pro-Trump talking points.
Court documents obtained by the Associated Press indicate Sam Nunberg has been accused by Trump of leaking confidential information to reporters in violation of his non-disclosure agreement. Ted Cruz of Texas for the Republican nomination. The Associated Press reported on Wednesday that Trump has filed a $10 million arbitration case against Nunberg in NY state court. It’s Sam Nunberg, who was part of the Trump campaign in its early stages and then was sacked – allegedly on Lewandowski’s orders – over old Facebook posts last August. Nunberg at the time denied he wrote the posts.
Instead, Nunberg says the contract that should apply is the consulting agreement he signed with the Trump exploratory committee.
What is Nunberg accused of leaking?
Trump’s legal conflicts, which also include a lawsuit over his Trump University real-estate seminars, have at times distracted public attention from his campaign.
