Donald Trump And Illegal Immigration: Hispanic Republicans Want Amnesty
The summit, which brings together Republicans from across the West, runs through Sunday. He did not, however, definitively call for removing all illegal immigrants in the country. A central tenet of Trump’s immigration policy is to build a wall for which Mexico would pay.

Local immigration agencies in Indianapolis are still working through what Republican Donald Trump’s 10-point plan could mean for current and future families in the area.
Audio for this story will be available after noon Thursday.
Back in Arizona, Trump dialed up his nativist rhetoric against immigration and free trade, although he tempered his promise to deport an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants, saying no one had a clue how many exactly there were.
Trump was reportedly peeved that Peña Nieto made that portion of their conversation public, according to the Wall Street Journal.
For his part, Peña Nieto responded to the Trump diss in-kind after facing overwhelming backlash from Mexicans upset by the cordial meeting. And while Trump said that he wouldn’t support a path to citizenship, last month he proposed “back taxing” some of the millions of immigrants living in the USA without permission – a step that would require some form of legalization. He also talked about being more selective about who gets to enter the country, for example limiting immigration to people who can be financially self-sufficient.
Last month, the Donald Trump campaign promised a reset of its minority outreach efforts, aimed at reversing Trump’s tanking poll numbers among voters of color and his lack of support among nonwhite political figures.
The fiery speech confirmed Mr Trump’s hard line on immigration shortly after he insisted to Pena Nieto that a giant wall would be built on the US-Mexico border if he is elected.
“We will use the best technology, including above and below ground sensors. towers, aerial surveillance and manpower to supplement the wall”.
Aguilar’s announcement follows a report by Politico on Wednesday that high-profile Latino Trump surrogates, including Trump National Hispanic Advisory Council member Jacob Monty, were wavering in their support after the address at the Phoenix Convention Center. So let’s make it 16 million people.
“The question for some time has been, will Trump pivot into a softer stance on immigration and I think the short answer is no”.
