Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly bury the hatchet…for now
The Trump interview was announced after Kelly met with the Republican candidate at Trump Tower in New York City in April. This, in response to Kelly’s question as to whether there had been any mistakes in his campaign.

In a recent appearance on ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Michael”, Kelly said she asked Trump to explain why he was so bothered by that question, in which Kelly cited some of his previous nasty remarks about women. During campaign hours, he has staffers he will “call out a tweet to”.
At around 8:30 a.m., Trump tweeted to his more than 8.2 million followers that it would be “interesting” to see how the Kelly File host treated him in the interview, which had already been taped. She told him he had.
“If I had not fought back in the way I fought back, I don’t think I would have been successful”, Trump said. “I didn’t know what to expect”.
When Lopez asked why she struck such a nerve with Trump, Kelly answered, “Good question, and I still don’t have that one figured out”. It was to say, ‘Hillary Clinton is the likely Democratic nominee.
Apparently Kelly struck a nerve.
To Trump’s credit, Kelly said, Trump did not try to set any limits on their interview behind the scenes or with her personally.
“I didn’t think it was a question”.
“This is a massive thing that’s going on”, he said.
Trump: I wish I didn’t do it. Although you know, I guess you could say she’s fair game because she’s very much involved with the campaign.
“I’m a counter-puncher”, Mr Trump said.
And making people look bad or uncomfortable doesn’t seem to be the goal of a special like this for Kelly.
Trump also touched (lightly) on his emotional side after Kelly asked if he had ever been emotionally hurt by someone. I respond pretty strongly.
Kelly concluded her interview by asking Trump how he would feel if he were to lose the upcoming presidential election.
Donald Trump is a real person, according to Donald Trump.
“It’s his first debate”. He’s a businessman. He’s a TV host. And, he is surrounded by all these guys, who have done debates before.
The things Kelly said on her way to securing the No. 2 show in cable news are, of course, controversial to many of us. I understand why he got mad in the moment.

But even with a touch of introspection, the night would not be complete without Trump doing what he does best; in true fashion, he livetweeted the entire interview, mostly retweeting and responding to compliments.
