Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly cordial in make-up interview
At the time, Kelly asked about Trump’s treatment of women, saying, “You’ve called women you don’t like “fat pigs”, “dogs”, “slobs” and “disgusting animals”.

“If I had not fought back in the way I fought back, I don’t think I would have been successful”, Trump said.
Megyn Kelly found herself on Donald Trump’s bad side when she questioned him about his sexist comments during one of the earliest Republican debates.
Donald Trump doesn’t know whether someone has ever wounded him, you know, emotionally, but it’s something that he could certainly think about. “I didn’t really blame you because you’re doing your thing, but, from my standpoint, I don’t have to like it”. “Do whatever you have to do”.
Months after he savaged her on Twitter and elsewhere, Donald Trump tells Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly that people who are bullied “gotta get over it” and fight back. “I’ve been saying this whole campaign that I’m a counter-puncher”. “He clearly disliked that question that I asked at the first debate, but they all got it hard in that first round of the debate”.
Whether part of his strategy to be seen as more “presidential” or a genuine attempt at reconciliation, Trump was decidedly more restrained in his language and behaviour than what we’ve seen in any of his interactions with Kelly since August.
Moderators Chris Wallace (L) pats on the shoulder of Megyn Kelly (2nd L) as they wait with Bret Baier (R) for the beginning of the Fox News – Google GOP Debate January 28, 2016 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa. The billionaire took issue with the line of questioning, accusing Kelly of being unfair in her coverage of him.
There were some uncomfortable moments in the interview that aired Tuesday night.
Kelly said she asked for the interview because she wanted to get her interactions with Trump on a professional footing.
Trump said he has regrets about the way he acted during his campaign, but did not elaborate.
It was a convivial, easygoing interview that was taped more than two weeks ago for Kelly’s first prime-time special on Fox, Megyn Kelly Presents.

“Oh, OK. Did I say that? But from my standpoint, I don’t have to like it”, he said.
