Donald Trump and the Clintons: Old friends, but new foes?
Appearing on NBC’s “Today” with Savannah Guthrie, Trump insisted that the former president has “failed badly” as a surrogate for Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail. “And you look at whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Paula Jones or many of them, and that certainly will be fair game, certainly if they play the woman’s card with respect to me, that will be fair game”. “That certainly will be fair game”.

He says the former president was called a racist during Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign against Barack Obama. “He was terrible, failed badly, and was called a racist!”
In the church venue, Clinton didn’t mention Republican rival Donald Trump. Bill Clinton acknowledged in 1998 that he had a consensual sexual relationship with Lewinsky when she was a White House intern.
While the Trump-Clinton clash could point to an effort by Trump to shed his GOP competition, Christopher C. Hull, president of D.C.-based public affairs firm Issue Management, Inc., downplayed any long-term strategy. He also wrote, “I know Hillary and I think she’d make a great president or vice-president”.
During the interview, Trump also argued that Clinton is “playing the woman’s card”.
Within the last few hours we’ve learned that the Democratic presidential candidate has added three more stops to her schedule in the Granite State. During the 2008 presidential campaign, when Clinton surrogates complained that male opponents were “piling on” the then-front-runner, and the campaign posted a video on its website called “The Politics of Pile On”. “She does have a women’s problem, and I think it’s not apparent yet because she gets kind of a pass from some in the media”. He will be campaigning for the first time by himself for Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire on Monday. In fact, Trump did much the same thing earlier in the campaign after getting criticized as sexist for attacks on Megyn Kelly and Carly Fiorina, although neither candidate actually lost ground in the first place.
New television and radio ads from presidential hopeful and Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton began circulating in Des Moines; Iowa City, Iowa; and in parts of SC on Tuesday, multiple outlets reported.
Trump has come under fire for his own past remarks about women, including during the first Republican primary debate, when a moderator, Fox News personality Megyn Kelly, asked Trump to answer for rude statements made about women. But this is different than other spouses, too; Bill is the former President of the United States, and has stayed politically active ever since he left the White House. “We should all be sorry”, he said.

According to the Rasmussen Reports telephone survey, conducted on the sample of 1000 likely voters nation-wide, 37 percent would vote for Hilary Clinton while 36 percent would give their vote to Donald Trump.
