Donald Trump: Ben Carson will ‘hit back, everybody hits back’

Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair says he’s confident she will win the Democratic nomination for president, and welcomes the possibility she could face Republican Donald Trump in the general election.

After an extended wind-up in which he cited an extensive list of nationwide polls and polls from other states that continue to show him winning by wide margins, he said, “Let me give you the bad news”. Trump is getting ready to mount a major fight in Florida against two of the states resident sons.

He said he loves Iowa but he “honestly [thinks] the polls are wrong”. Carson is also beating Trump among Iowa conservatives.

“I’m going to support the Republican nominee, and I’m comfortable that it’s not going to be Donald Trump, and I’m increasingly confident that it’s going to be me”, Rubio said on CNN’s “State of the Union”.

“No, not at all”.

During an appearance on NBC News’ Meet the Press today, Carson said that Trump and other critics often mistake his soft-spoken manner as a sign of a lack of energy. “But, no, not at all”.

While criticized for a few of his comments – including suggestions that a few government policies could lead to Nazi-ism – Carson told NBC that his message of less government is resonating in Iowa and elsewhere. We had a packed house. “And I have done really well with the evangelicals and with the Tea Party and everything”. So I put it down as the dynamics just being profoundly different from the rest of the electorate.

“You know, everybody has their own personality”. I accept the number.

“I wouldn’t want to get into it. Because to me, that’s very personal”, the billionaire businessman said on Bloomberg’s “With All Due Respect”, when asked to share his favorite Bible verse.

Instead, a defiant Trump defended his decision to prop up his Presbyterian religion at a campaign stop while casting doubt on Carson’s Seventh-day Adventist faith. “I’m a Presbyterian, and I had mentioned that, and I did say I don’t know about it”. “Of course, many people know the story when I was 14 and I tried to stab someone”. “I just don’t know about”.

The leader in polls elsewhere, Trump told ABC that Carson is his top challenger only in Iowa. “I’ve gotten along with Democrats and I’ve gotten along with Republicans”, Trump said. And I am who I am. “I did talk about Jeb because I thought Jeb was going to be the front-runner”. “I will be a great unifier for our country”. It makes me wonder if he’s too abrasive to be President.

“Ben is extremely weak, as you know, on illegal immigration and you can’t have that now”. A concierge practice generally costs $2-3,000 dollars a year and you still have a couple thousand dollars left over for your catastrophic insurance, which is much cheaper now because the only thing coming out of it is catastrophic insurance. The plan now for funding health savings accounts is using the same dollars that we use for traditional health care.

Mr. Wallace seemed unconvinced and ended by interview by saying: “Well, this is interesting, obviously, to be continued”.

“The biggest headline yesterday, he said: ‘Trump Falls to 2nd Place in Iowa Behind Ben Carson”.

“I’m OK with the savings accounts”. ‘So, I’m actually surprised, very surprised that I’m even tied in Iowa’. “It works. It’s something that’s proven”, he said.
