“She doesn’t know how to win, she’s not a victor”, he said in an excerpt of the interview set to air on Sunday. “Probably. I don’t think there are too many of them”.

Trump said that a vote for Clinton would only be a continuation of President Barack Obama’s term.

“Every time I mention her, everyone screams “lock her up, lock her up”, he said. “Captain Khan and his family represent the best of America and we salute them”.

At a rally Monday in Columbus, Ohio, Trump complained that the local fire marshal had turned thousands of his supporters away because the town’s mayor is a Democrat.

The fire marshal in that area had been named Civilian of the Year by a local newspaper for his response to a November shooting at a local Planned Parenthood.

But as the crowd chanted the slogan in Colorado Springs, Mr Trump finally relented. “That should really go without saying”. “That’s politics at its lowest, and you ought to check it out”.

“People say all kinds of things”. “I’ll be back here so many times you’ll be sick of me”.

Trump, who will address two rallies in Colorado later Friday, responded to the Democratic challenge by launching a tirade of insults on Twitter against Clinton and her surrogates.

Clinton is playing up economic opportunity, diversity and national security.

Trump’s Colorado campaign declined to comment. Trump has already dubbed Clinton “crooked Hillary” and repeatedly used the phrase on the campaign trail in recent months.

In Colorado, Trump goaded Clinton on her failure to hold a news conference since December and accused her of lying to the FBI over its investigation of her email scandal as secretary of state. He’s also continuing his effort to try and expand the electoral map by venturing into a pair of traditionally blue states: ME and his home state of NY, which he has repeatedly vowed to put in play despite polling that has him well behind Clinton there.

Even more, Trump refused to give Clinton any credit when asked about the historic nature of her candidacy.

Romney also described Clinton as “an bad candidate” who was trying to act like her husband former President Bill Clinton.

Democrats pushed Friday to extend the excitement spurred by a four-day convention that culminated in the presidential nomination of Hillary Clinton, taking the fight against Donald Trump to the battleground states that could decide an election just over 100 days away.

Trump used part of his almost hour-long speech to defend himself against Clinton’s critique that he would be unfit for the country’s highest office, and is easily baited on Twitter. “At this stage, it’s rougher going, but I can’t predict what’s gonna happen”, he added.
