After the show, Eric Trump told INSIDE EDITION his dad was more than up to the challenge.

Although his protest was part of the script, David will still get the $5,000, said a report from the Business Insider. Graphics of Trump’s comments then appeared on screen as he took aim at cast members for being low-class or losers, referencing the manner in which he has slammed rivals on the campaign trail.

The ratings bump comes as no surprise considering Trump’s outsized presence has brought a wave of attention to the Republican presidential.

At the end of the monologue, Larry David, who had just reprised his impersonation of Bernie Sanders in the opening sketch, seemingly interrupted Trump, calling him a racist.

The anti-Trump protests themselves got the SNL treatment, with Larry David taking up opponents’ call to heckle the candidate.

NBCA projected 9 million viewers watched Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live”.

Before the show, protesters outside NBC studios called on the network to “Dump Trump” because of his controversial remarks on immigration.

When Trump asked why he did that, David replied, “I heard if I yelled that, they’d give me five thousand dollars”.

In any event, “SNL” had an 8.4 rating on Channel 2 for the Saturday program hosted by Trump.

Trump had been publicizing his appearance for several weeks, seemingly enjoying the fact that he would headline a show on the same network (NBC) that had fired him from his popular reality competition, The Celebrity Apprentice.

The organisation went on to say: “DeportRacism.com is working with activists in NY to disrupt the live broadcast of the show to both hold NBC accountable and make a statement to the world that Trump’s racism has no place in the White House”.
