Donald Trump calls California protesters ‘thugs, criminals’

A new poll ahead of the winner-take-all vote Tuesday put the Republican frontrunner far ahead of Cruz, who is hoping the Midwestern state will act as a Trump firewall. Trump later claimed that 31,000 people showed up to support him.
The poll showed the depth of the challenge facing Mr Cruz, a conservative U.S. senator from Texas who is trying to prevent Mr Trump from winning the 1,237 delegates needed to seal the nomination. “The voters have spoken”.
