Donald Trump calls for ‘extreme vetting’ of immigration applicants
“Anyone who can not name our enemy is not fit to lead this country”, Trump said, “Anyone who can not condemn the hatred, oppression and violence of radical Islam lacks the moral clarity to serve as our President”.

“The Obama-Clinton foreign policy unleashed ISIS [and] de-stabilized the Middle East”, he told the crowd at Youngstown State University, alleging that the former secretary of state “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on [the Islamic State]”. On Monday, he added another layer of scrutiny he would apply to would-be immigrants: “an ideological screening test”.
“As soon as I take office, I will ask the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security to identify a list of regions where inadequate screening can not take place”.
“My administration will speak out against the oppression of women, gays and people of different beliefs”, said Trump.
Trump, in his speech, stated that the ideological test would also be used to weed out those holding anti-Semitic views.
“If we had controlled the oil like I said we should, we could have prevented the rise of ISIS in Iraq, both by cutting off a major source of funding and through the presence of USA forces necessary to safeguard the oil and vital infrastructure products necessary for us to have the oil”.
Following the June shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Trump appeared to introduce a new standard, vowing to “suspend immigration from areas of the world where there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies, until we fully understand how to end these threats”.
The New York businessman appeared to credit himself for prodding North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to focus its attention on the threat of terrorism.
“In the old days, when we won a war, to the victor belonged the spoils, and instead all we got from Iraq was death, destruction and tremendous financial loss”, Trump said. And that we must shut down ISIS’s access to the Internet.
Trump previously called for a blanket ban on all Muslims entering America after 14 people were murdered by Islamic extremists in San Bernardino, California, in December.
“We should only admit into our country those who share our values and respect our people”, he said from Youngstown, Ohio.
Mr Trump said that the test will not only expose terrorist sympathisers, but also will “screen out any who have hostile attitudes towards our country or its principles”.
As he laid out in his Orlando remarks, Mr. Trump will describe the need to temporarily suspend visa issuances to geographic regions with a history of exporting terrorism and where adequate checks and background vetting can not occur, Miller said.
The third plank of his plan to defeat ISIS involves “restoring common sense to our security procedures”.
He closed by saying he will fight to ensure all Americans are treated, protected and honored equally.
But the hawkish new tone may help Trump restore some momentum to his flagging campaign.
On Monday, The New York Times published a story on ledgers documenting .7 million in alleged cash payments to Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, for his work with former Ukrainian Prime Minister-and Putin ally-Viktor Yanukovych.
Recent polls show him significantly trailing Hillary Clinton in key battleground states.
“We’re going there next!” Harry Reid of Nevada said Trump couldn’t even pass his own test for admission into the country. But he said the candidate lacks enthusiasm when he reads off a teleprompter.
To some it may seem like an extremely unlikely conclusion to put the blame of ISIS on the Obama administration, but as the evidence falls into place, the perpetual terrorism and wars seem to make a little bit more sense. “And to have somebody who would be running for president, to have this kind of influence and connections with Russian insiders that are causing havoc in the Ukraine, is just completely outrageous to me”.

The speech was invite-only and tickets were distributed by local Republican Party officials. “You don’t need to add anything, the screening is there and it’s been done properly”, he said. Additional speeches with more details are expected in the weeks ahead, they said.
