Donald Trump calls his running mate Mike Pence a ‘man of honour’
Trump asserted that he would handle attacks against his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton and leave Pence out of them. He has chosen to let the platform go simply because it appeases the conservatives, and he knows that he’s not bound to that platform even though we put a lot of emphasis on “this is where the republican party is”, but it still comes down to what the party bearer is saying and doing. “We have to wipe out ISIS”, he said in response to a question.

Christie, once considered the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination, stunned some of his own allies by becoming the first of the Republican hopefuls to endorse Trump after ending his own campaign.
The interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes” highlighted a challenge Trump will face now that has put the IN governor on the GOP ticket: dealing with questions about where the two have disagreed. “And part of it is that; a big part of it”. We need strong borders. We have people coming to our country who can’t be vetted properly. They don’t have paperwork.

Pence says the larger issue is declining American power in the world. “[Speaker of the House] Paul Ryan called me up immediately and said, ‘What a great choice, ‘” Trump says. He tells Stahl that after 12 years in Congress, his ability to “build relationships with people in Washington, DC, I think, will give me an opportunity to help advocate for the agenda of the Trump administration”.
But they came only after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke for almost half an hour, alone at the podium inside Manhattan’s glitzy Hilton Midtown ballroom, in front of five rows of seated supporters – an enthusiastic but restrained group of invited guests.
The lack of chemistry between Pence and Trump was obvious that one wonders if they had ever really spoken to each other before Pence was added to the ticket.
