Donald Trump Calls On Marco Rubio To Drop Out of GOP Race
“No, no, the people who can save this party are Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio or John Kasich”, Romney said, according to a Politico write-up.

With the GOP race in chaos, establishment figures are frantically looking for any way to stop Trump, perhaps at a contested convention if none of the candidates can roll up the 1,237 delegates needed to snag the nomination.
A total of 118 delegates are at stake for Democrats, with Louisiana’s prize of 58 delegates being biggest contest of the night. “I have never tried to go and get into these kind of scrums that we’re seeing here on the stage and people say everywhere I go, ‘you seem to be the adult on the stage'”.
It’s a crucial time in Rubio’s campaign, having won just one state in the GOP primaries while his main competitors, Cruz and Trump have won more.
Early on, the GOP leadership tolerated Mr Trump. Trump asked of the demonstrators. Trump said. “And [Marco Rubio] referred to my hands, ‘If they’re small, something else must be small.’ I guarantee you there’s no problem. And as big as other things, as he says”.
Connie Belton, 65, a retired homemaker from Wichita, watched Trump’s rally in Wichita. “And I am someone who keeps his word”. He said the Democratic race “was just too important to me to sleep in”. “He’s sexist and he’s racist, and I would hate to see someone like that as a presidential candidate”.
Cruz criticized both Trump and Rubio for engaging in insults and mud-throwing and urged the candidates to stick to the issues.
Republican Marco Rubio campaigned Saturday in home-state Florida, which holds a March 15 primary crucial to his hopes.
Cruz blamed the media for Trump’s rise, saying reporters haven’t pressed him on releasing his tax returns. It was even worse a couple of days ago in Detroit when Cruz gave Trump an impromptu lesson in yoga breathing relaxation techniques. He came out of Super Tuesday this week with an estimated 336 delegates, ahead of Texas Sen. That means it’s harder to have a breakout that changes the nature of the race. Contrast this with 20 percent thresholds in some other states.
“So they seize on this plan of a brokered convention and the DC power brokers will drop someone in who is exactly to the liking of the Washington establishment”.
The hunt for delegates by the presidential candidates is resuming Saturday. Cruz has 231, Rubio 110 and Kasich 25.
Trump is a “con artist”, but Rubio, Cruz, and Kasich pledge to support him if he’s the nominee.
Clinton is farther along in the race to the White House. It takes 2,383 delegates to win the nomination.
The caucuses were tailor-made – and paid for – by Rand Paul.
But his presidential bid failed. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., U.S. Sen.
On the Democratic side, Mason said Super Saturday will be a good night for Clinton, noting Louisiana’s large black population and support for her, but that her rival should not be overlooked. “We can sit back and let them light their own dumpster fire and wait until they’re finished”, said Eddie Vale, spokesman for American Bridge, a Clinton-allied group which collects negative research on Republican candidates.
In Cruz’s mind, there’s one way to beat Donald Trump-“beat Donald Trump with the voters”.

When Rubio faulted Trump’s businesses for manufacturing clothing in China and Mexico rather than the U.S., Trump retorted, “This little guy has lied so much about my record”. Clinton visited in December; husband Bill Clinton made a pair of appearances Friday.
