Donald Trump compares himself to victims of police shootings, racism
Asked specifically what he would say to black Americans who feel targeted by police due to their race, Mr Trump said: “We have to talk to ’em and we have to build up the spirit”. After all, the system has been unfair to him too. “There are certain people where unfortunately that comes into play”, he said, adding that more training could address some problems. “We have to fight”.

“Well, I’ve been saying, even against me the system is rigged. And I can relate it really very much to myself”.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (right) compared himself to victims of racism when speaking with Bill O’Reilly (left).
“I will simply say this: the NAACP, representing millions of Americans, we represent an occasion for those running for president to speak to the nation’s most critical issues at a critical hour in this country”, he adds.
He said stopping wage stagnation, bringing back jobs and fixing the country’s dysfunctional schools would go a long way toward improving the lives of black Americans. While he has often tiptoed around the issue in the past, Donald Trump finally gave his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement.
Trump told O’Reilly that he was saddened by the police shootings last week of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, and that video of the events was “a bad disgusting performance that I saw”.
“I have to refocus you though on the African-American experience. He’s the great divider and I’ve said it for a long time”.
Trump also had harsh words for the Black Lives Matters movement, which has organized some of the protests.
Trump is already struggling with the perception that he is racist.

Mr. Trump’s comments capped a day in which Mr. Obama delivered remarks at a memorial service in Dallas for the fallen officers, where he defended Black Lives Matter for drawing attention to police abuses.
