Donald Trump confirms he is visiting the UK
Donald Trump is heading to Britain later this month for the ceremonial opening of his Turnberry golf complex in Scotland following an extensive, multimillion dollar revamp, his campaign said Wednesday.

Relations between Cameron and Trump, whose visit comes the day after Britain holds a referendum on its membership of the European Union, have been tense since the British leader called his proposed ban on Muslims entering the U.S. risky and stupid.
It is also Trump’s first visit since British Prime Minister David Cameron and other lawmakers criticized the NY businessman over his proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States.
It’s unclear whether Trump will meet with Cameron or other British officials while overseas.
“I hope that the British will remember (that closeness) when the day comes” to cast their vote, he said.
Cameron has previously said he had no confirmed plans to meet with any US presidential candidates. His office said Wednesday that it had no additional updates regarding a meeting with the businessman-turned-politician.
“Very exciting that one of the great resorts of the world, Turnberry, will be opening today after a massive $200 million investment”, Trump said in a press release issued by the resort.
A Number 10 source said: ‘Candidates often come through the country.
Ralph Porciani, Trump Turnberry manager, said: ‘We have always known that the newly-renovated Trump Turnberry would be among the finest hotels anywhere in the world.
The US billionaire bought the hotel and golf course for an undisclosed sum in 2014 and subsequently added his name.
Trump has seen off competition in the Republican race but has yet to be formally crowned the official candidate.
The first was Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire in 2012. We are more than happy to meet him on that basis.
Cameron has been critical of Trump’s call for temporarily banning Muslims from entering the United States because of terror concerns, calling the proposal “wrong and divisive”.
But he has more recently made a decision to remark publicly on Trump after the GOP candidate previous year proposed a ban on Muslims traveling or immigrating to the U.S.
The Prime Minister said last week that he would be “very happy” to meet the would-be President. No dates are fixed. I would say that they’re better off without it.
