Donald Trump Could Still Capitalize On Voters In Israel

CNN commentator Ana Navarro dismissed the idea on Tuesday that Donald Trump was “softening” his position on immigration – or that it would magically boost his poll numbers with Latino voters.

Republicans have long seen an opening to use the perceptions of pay-to-play to exploit Clinton’s vulnerabilities when it comes to trust and honesty, but their own presidential nominee has passed up such opportunities by getting in his own way. “And if they have any sort of legal problem, deport immediately”. Muslims were terrorists – they should be barred from entry, en masse.

Trump paraded as a would-be national saviour. Few expect the solidly Republican House to change hands, but losses of as many as 15 or 20 seats are forecast.

Trump did not address his proposal to deport the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the USA nor the “softening” of his positions.

Perhaps? What sort of wuss is Trump becoming?

“Strong Senate candidates can stand on their own even if they are fighting against the tide, and there are numerous examples of where that’s happened”, said Steven Law, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s former chief of staff who now works with Super PACs dedicated to helping Republicans.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump appears to be “softening” his stance on illegal immigration.

Donald Trump launched his presidential campaign by promising to build a “great, great wall” on the U.S. southern border – and make Mexico pay for it – while painting undocumented Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists. “We are going to get rid of the bad ones”. Suggesting that Black people will favor a classist Republican candidate who aims to shut down organizations like Black Lives Matter (and others fighting for socioeconomic equality for African-Americans over the nation’s first Black president who put several policies in place that greatly benefitted Black people) is bogus and ridiculous.

Trump continued on the theme in a speech in Akron Monday. “He’s gonna do what a lot of people on Capitol Hill have been talking about for more than a decade – and that is upholding the laws of this country and enforcing the laws of this country”. “Well, I’m going to do the same thing”. It was Trump in 2011 who fiercely challenged Obama’s US birth.

When Trump spoke to CBS News’ Scott Pelley in a “60 Minutes” interview in September previous year, he reiterated a stand he took during the primary debates that his administration would kick out the 11 million undocumented immigrants.

But in an interview with Bill O’Reilly, in which he responded to reports that he’s backing off of his vow of mass deportations – a promise he’s made many times – Trump basically admitted the whole story he’s been telling about immigration for the previous year is a big scam. Another Trump campaign tactic being used to gain Black votes seems to be the practice of insulting people of color using misleading statistics about the African-American community.

At another point, Trump was pressed on whether he agreed with President Eisenhower, whose Operation Wetback, as O’Reilly said, “rounded them up” and “took them out”.

A month later, Trump said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that while those “good ones” could come back in through an “expedited” process, they must first be deported. What enables Trump to shift policies on a dime is that he has no genuine policies to begin with. That soon became temporary – with exceptions.

Leah Wright Rigueur, author of “The Loneliness of the Black Republican” and a professor at the Harvard Kennedy School, said Trump’s approach so far amounts to “him lecturing black people to a group of whites”.

It’s hardly surprising that he denied the charge – “No, I’m not flip-flopping. The real question is, does he want to win or not?” That’s – it has to be very firm.
