Olsen’s piece cites statements of support for Donald Trump by members of ISIS (based on a previous article in Foreign Affairs) and goes on to endorse Hillary Clinton as “the clear choice for national security”.

The reviews are in for Matt Lauer’s presidential forum performance, and they are far from pretty.

‘But, I’m also not going to be bullied or intimidated by the kind of rhetoric and demagoguery coming from the Trump campaign, ‘ she said.

Just over 6 in 10, 62%, say the way Clinton handled her email while serving as secretary of state is an important indicator of her character and ability to serve as president, just 36% say it has no bearing on her character or abilities.

“They are saying, ‘Oh, please, Allah, make Trump president of America, ‘” she continued. “He told Howard Stern he supported it”. Asked to square his request for military options with that criticism, Trump said simply: “They’ll probably be different generals”.

Clinton supporters were livid that he spent a long time asking her about her emails and didn’t challenge Trump when the Republican nominee falsely that claimed he opposed the Iraq war.

But this reading really gives Clinton more of a pass for being a liberal hawk who abetted neoconservative foreign policy mistakes while adding a few of her own than it is an exercise in holding Trump accountable.

Still, the government’s most senior Republican stressed Thursday that he does not share Trump’s complimentary view of Putin.

Voters see Clinton as better able to handle the public scrutiny that comes with being president, with 52% of registered voters saying she’d be better on that point as opposed to the 43% who think Trump would. “I wish you know, the first time it was done correctly”. She said Trump had the same position in favor of going to war in Iraq at the time and of toppling Gaddafi.

Clinton is ahead of Trump by 5 points in Pennsylvania.

“So Lauer didn’t correct Trump on his record about Iraq?”

Clinton’s camp then took a shot at the media for not doing its job. And Hillary’s camp is plainly nervous about recent reports that young African-Americans in particular still aren’t sold on her candidacy.

That’s also why Texas (the candidates are essentially tied in The Post’s poll) is much more competitive than usual.

Questions remain about Trump’s temperament and grasp of details.

“Bizarrely once again, he praised Russia’s strongman, Vladimir Putin, even taking the astonishing step of suggesting that he preferred the Russian president to our American president”. “Now that is not just unpatriotic and insulting to the people of our country as well as to our commander in chief, it is scary”.
