Donald Trump discloses health records on ‘The Dr Oz Show’

US presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on Wednesday moved to show their medical fitness for the White House as Clinton released a letter from her doctor declaring her fit for the presidency and Trump taped a TV-segment about his well-being. After a CT scan last Friday, she was diagnosed with “mild non-contageous bacterial pneumonia”. “The remainder of her complete physical exam was normal and she is in excellent mental condition”, she said.

But after a video surfaced of her having to be forcibly assisted into her vehicle, her campaign belatedly acknowledged a pneumonia diagnosis two days earlier.

Clinton has spent the past three days out of the public eye, recuperating at her suburban NY home.

Only bacterial pneumonia, not viral, can be treated with antibiotics.

Facing criticism about a lack of transparency when it comes to her health, Ms Clinton’s campaign promised to disclose more detailed information about her health this week.

“She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”, wrote Bardack, who also authored a letter about Clinton’s health released in July 2015.

She takes thyroid and allergy medicines and the blood thinner Coumadin, prescribed as a preventative after she suffered a blood clot resulting from a 2012 concussion. She plans to hit the campaign trail Thursday in North Carolina.

Trump later added at the same rally, “We want her better, we want her back on the trail”.

The Republican nominee, meanwhile, handed over a one-page summary of a recent physical exam to the celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz while taping an episode of Oz’s talk show.

Trump provided a small window into his health after campaign officials said earlier in the day that he wasn’t going to discuss specifics of his exam on the show.

However, both Trump and Oz touted discussing the Republican presidential candidate’s health on the show after Hillary Clinton fell ill Sunday at a 9/11 commemoration in NY.

According to the Morning Consult poll, 50 percent said Mrs. Clinton has given false information about her personal health to the public, compared with 37 percent who said the same of Mr. Trump.

– The two United States presidential candidates, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump, 68 and 70 years, respectively, today released their medical records to the public in order to clear any doubts about their ability to become United States president.

The syndicated television show will not be broadcast until Thursday and the campaign declined to immediately disclose the results.

Clinton running mate Tim Kaine also released a letter from his doctor, Brian Monahan, the attending physician of Congress.

One attendee said that the two did not talk in any detail about Trump’s health. Perhaps capitalizing on this weak spot in Clinton’s rep and seeking to remedy the fact that the public actually doesn’t know much about his medical history, Trump participated in a taping of The Dr. Oz Show Wednesday.
