Donald Trump: Drugs a ‘Very, Very Big Factor’ in Charlotte Protests

“And I say to the African-American communities, and I think it’s resonating, because you see what’s happening with my poll numbers with African-Americans”.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News’ “Good Morning America”, President Obama offered his advice for Hillary Clinton as she prepares to debate Donald Trump for the first time. “It just seems that there’s a lack of spirit between the white and the black”.

King, who is black, continued: “If you’re a dancing and sliding and gliding n— I mean Negro – you are ‘a dancing and sliding and gliding Negro.'” Gasps and laughs could be heard from the audience.

Trump has sought to express empathy, but his words could rankle some in the African-American community.

Current New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat who supports Clinton, slammed Trump’s call for more stop-and-frisk as “appalling” and disputed Trump’s account of how well it worked.

The comments came hours after a white Oklahoma police officer was charged with manslaughter Thursday in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man whose vehicle had broken down in the middle of the street. But we do know that we have two more names to add to the list of African Americans killed by police officers in these encounters. “Its sad to see”. (The Liberal government in Ontario imposed severe restrictions on a similar policy, known as carding, earlier this year.) The vast majority of people stropped in NY under “stop and frisk” are black or Hispanic, which is why the policy is generally unpopular within those communities.

“There has to be a unity message somehow that has to get out and it starts with leadership”, Trump said. When asked if she dreamed of being president as a girl, Clinton said, “It wasn’t even within the realm of the possible for little girls back then”.

Clinton’s campaign said in a statement that Trump’s answer was proof that he had only voiced his reversal to try to change the subject.

“I think I’ll win the Hispanic vote”, Trump told reporters after touring the bridge.

Beyond his effusive praise for stop-and-frisk, Trump’s week of supposed overtures to black communities has been a disaster.

The Democratic nominee has also made curbing gun violence and police brutality a central part of her candidacy. And the answer is: “It all squares because what he’s trying to – the point he’s trying to get across is that African-Americans should be open to this because he’s trying to make their communities safer”.

The Trump campaign accepted her resignation after what a spokesman called “inappropriate” comments.

Trump has previously said that he would look to increase the number of police officers in inner cities to bring down the crime rate and improve training, but has offered little other specifics on this policy front. “Police are entrusted with vast responsibility, and we must do everything we can to ensure that they are properly trained, that they respect all members of the public and that any wrongdoing is always – and it will be by them – vigorously addressed”.
