On Monday, NBC News reported that a federal judge sided with an anti-Trump delegate, blocking the enforcement of a Virginia law that requires delegates to support the victor of their state’s primary at the convention.

Presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump is slated to speak last on the fourth night of the convention.

Bob Peña, the executive director of the El Paso County Republican Party, will also be heading to Cleveland as a delegate.

Trump cleared that hurdle shortly before the last round of primaries.

Yet Trump’s team maintains the right to approve – and re-write – Cruz’s remarks in what is expected to be a carefully scripted convention.

Hough said he is interested in Donald Trump’s demeanor during the convention. Ted Cruz won all of Colorado’s available delegates at the state Republican Party convention.

Kimball and Newton are representing Utah at convention.

Unruh teaches government at a small Christian high school. “If my little vote counts, my God, I’ve gotta be there to do it”, Hough said. “It’s a preference poll”.

The majority of the committee rejected that plan, but more than 30 members were on board, indicating that the fight could go before the full convention next week.

Rule No. 16 of the 21-page document says that no delegate who votes for a candidate other than the one to whom they were bound in the primaries or caucuses will be recognized.

The RNC Rules Committee abruptly broke up for four hours Thursday, initially saying a broken printer had delayed the critical meetings.

“It’s not a defeat”, Unruh said in her post.

Republican ex-presidents George H.W. Bush and his son, George W. Bush are not on the list, and neither is attending the convention, while former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will also stay away after his own presidential bid failed to gain any steam and he had several harsh exchanges with Trump.

The votes were overwhelming in favor of Trump and his Republican National Committee allies who united to head off the insurrection. But when it does, she can file what’s called a “minority report”. “And I’m going to make sure I take it to the secretary, and the treasurer, and their dog, just to make sure everything’s covered”. Only 21 rules panel members voted to even discuss the amendment – fewer than the 28 members needed to force a vote on the floor.

That’s where Unruh’s ally, Dane Waters, comes in. There may be delegates who support Trump but believe delegates should be unbound. “We have parliamentarians who are involved in this effort”.

“With Cruz, you were 99 percent sure where he was coming from”, said Saul Anuzis, a MI committeeman who ran Cruz’s campaign in his state.

Besides a growing “whip” vote-counting operation, one official said the Trump campaign has assigned sympathetic delegates to ride herd on specific rebels in an effort to communicate and keep tabs on them.

There are a couple problems. They were also pushing a series of populist changes aimed at appealing to grassroots conservatives that would take power from the Republican National Committee – consisting of 168 party leaders from around the country – and its chairman, who is now Reince Priebus. We have too many people who want to speak.

“There is overwhelming delegate support for Donald Trump”, he said, describing California’s delegation in particular as “bedrock Trump”.

Those items will be voted upon by all delegates this week. He won OH and its 66 delegates in the March primary.

The second problem more practical, as Unruh acknowledged. U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is the first African-American to be officially nominated as a candidate for U.S. president by a major party.
