Donald Trump Faces Backlash After Attempt To Win Over Black Voters
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Friday blasted Democratic policies and called for African-Americans to support him, saying blacks can not expect change otherwise. And he promised the he will be such a great president for African-Americans that they should vote for him now, because, “What have you got to lose?”, he asked.

“Donald Trump asks what the African American community has to lose by voting for him”.
Marlon Marshall, a senior member of the Democratic nominee’s campaign, criticised Trump as “painting the entire African American community as living in poverty with no jobs”.
Present polls show about 2% of black voters say they will vote for the Nyc real estate developer.
Mrs Clinton called Mr Trump’s remarks “so ignorant it’s staggering”.
Trump said Clinton will give jobs to refugees rather than unemployed African-Americans.
Meanwhile, a Washington Post report said that Carter Page, a foreign policy advisor of Mr. Trump, had praised Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi had with US experts and think tanks here in June.
He urged them to abandon Democrats, whom he said only take advantage of the African American voters.
The businessman – who only one percent of black voters support nationally, according to an August 4 NBC/Wall Street Journal poll – continued, “I will produce for the African Americans”.
“At the end of four years, I guarantee I will get over 95% of the African American vote”.
In 2012, Republican nominee Mitt Romney won only six percent of the black vote.
And a white Trump supporter in North Carolina was charged with assault after video surfaced of him sucker-punching a black protester who was being carried out of a March Trump rally by police.
While African Americans have overwhelmingly identified as Democrats since the 1950s, Trump’s presidential bid has reached new lows.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) – Donald Trump is calling on the Republican Party to boost its traditionally lagging efforts in winning over black voters. “I promise you”, Mr. Trump said, which he planned to achieve by bringing change to cities whose problems he blamed on Mrs. Clinton.
“It’s time to hold Democratic politicians accountable for what they’ve done for these communities”, Trump said.
