Donald Trump gives law-and-order themed speech in Ohio
Donald Trump is expected to delay a highly anticipated speech on immigration that was set for later this week following days of confusion about where the Republican presidential nominee stands on the issue – one of the major pillars of his campaign that attracted many supporters.

On Fox News Monday, Trump said: “I’m not flip-flopping”. Since reshuffling his campaign leadership last week, Trump has already expressed “regret” for remarks that he has made during the campaign that might have been hurtful, and he expanded his outreach to black voters. “But we want to come up with something fair”. “We have to be very firm”. “They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. We’re gonna get them out”, he said.
Asked whether Trump’s plan still included a deportation force, his new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, said Sunday it was “to be determined”.
“Even Sen. Jeff Sessions”, a hard-liner on immigration, “he doesn’t deport 11 million people in his plan”, Conway said on CNBC Monday.
Trump had been scheduled to deliver a speech on the topic Thursday in Colorado, but has postponed it.
Donald Trump may be looking at a new approach – or at least new language – on one of the most sensitive aspects of his immigration policy: Deportation.
Over the weekend, Trump met with his newly formed Hispanic advisory council, and BuzzFeed reported that he expressed interest in finding a “humane and efficient” way to deal with undocumented immigrants that sounded at odds with his previous plan to remove them from the country. It would be in line with that trend for Trump to speak on immigration issues this week. “There can be no exceptions”.
“Nothing was said yesterday that differs from what Mr Trump said previously”, she added.
“It is now clear that the Clinton Foundation is the most corrupt enterprise in political history”, Trump said, blasting the charity, which has raised some $2 billion over the years.
“We’re going to build the wall, folks”, Trump said at the rally.
