Donald Trump Goes Off Script With Tasteless Remark About Hillary Clinton’s Health

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton squared off Wednesday over their health, with both releasing new information from their medical files to prove they’re fit to serve as president.

The new letter from Clinton’s doctor stated that a chest scan revealed she had “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”.

Clinton’s campaign said on Wednesday that her physician found that the former first lady “is in excellent mental condition” and was “recovering well with antibiotics and rest”.

Clinton was given antibiotics for a mild non-contagious bacterial pneumonia and was told to rest. She’s staying at her home in NY while her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and daughter, Chelsea Clinton, appear on the trail in her place.

Clinton’s blood pressure was 100/70 during her physical, which is normal, along with a heart rate of 70, respiratory rate of 18, temperature of 97.8 and pulse oximetry of 99 percent. She also takes a thyroid medication, as well as a blood thinner.

Clinton has come under criticism for not disclosing that she was sick until two days after the pneumonia diagnosis. The show will air Thursday. But a release from the show said “Dr. Oz took Mr. Trump though a full review of his systems”, including his nervous system, cardiovascular health, prostate health and family medical history. “Those were all the tests that were just done last week”, Trump said in an excerpt released by the show.

There is no indication if the results of the poll were influenced by news that Clinton faltered while leaving Sunday’s 9-11 observance in NY due to what her doctor says is a bout with pneumonia.

It also comes amid heightened interest in her health following her pneumonia diagnosis, revealed only after she became “overheated” and had to abruptly leave the September 11 ceremony on Sunday in NY. She will return to the campaign trail today, with a rally in North Carolina and a speech before a Hispanic group in Washington.

If Trump wins, let the record show that I called it: Mehmet Oz for Surgeon General.

Clinton released medical records in July of a year ago that contained some detail about her concussion in December 2012.

However, earlier on Wednesday Donald Trump proved that he’s even healthier than Clinton when he dramatically pulled his own two-page report from this pocket during a taping of The Dr. Oz Show.

So far Trump had released only four paragraphs, written hastily by his doctor Harold Bornstein in December 2015, gushing about his state of health. The doctor toldNBC News that he wrote the letter in five minutes as Mr. Trump’s limo idled outside his office.
